The Munken Guesthouse is an old, listed building built in the 18th century in the middle of Söderköping's medieval quarter - a small and simple but pleasant guesthouse. The space Ground floor with bedroom (ceiling height 2 m), kitchen and shower/WC. Upper floor with one bedroom. The garden has outdoor furniture. Guest access The entire red house can be used as well as seating in the garden. Other things to note Last century, there was a shoemaker on the ground floor and a tailor upstairs. Across the Storån is St. Laurentii Church. The surroundings are known for: * The country's first Franciscan monastery 1235 * The coronation of King Birger Magnusson 1302 * Bishop Brask's printing house, 1520s * Duke Charles' dramatic parliament in 1595 * The Madicken films
