Outside space: The caravan has it's own private decking area with seating. Ideal for a morning coffee whilst listening to the birdsong, or for evening drinks as the sun goes down behind the trees that surround the holiday park. Wonderful location: Brigham Holiday Park is located in a peaceful, sheltered site (which was historically an old quarry) and is about 5-10 minutes from the pretty town of Cockermouth with it's independent shops and a great choice of high quality cafes and restaurants. Other nearby areas of interest: The northern and western Lake District National Park - a short drive/bus journey away, including popular places like Keswick, Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake, Whinlatter Forest and Ennerdale Water. The beautiful, often overlooked, Cumbrian coast is also only 20 minutes away so you can also enjoy beaches, coastal walks and our famous sunsets. What this property does NOT have: There is no play equipment or any area for ball games. It is a very quiet site. There is no shop - the nearest shop is Aldi in Cockermouth which is about 5-10 minutes away in the car. There is no bar/club on the site, but right across the road is Brigham Social Club which is extremely welcoming and friendly to all - many of our guests have commented on this! This is a perfect place for you if: You want to enjoy the beauty of the northern Lake District whilst also getting away from the main 'honey-pot' areas that get so busy in tourist season. You enjoy days out exploring, followed by a nice local meal out (or cooking something tasty back at the caravan), and then relaxing for the evening with maybe a trip across to the social club if the mood takes you. Our aim is that after your stay at Herdwick View you feel relaxed and refreshed, and you'll want to come back again because there's always more to explore in this hidden gem of an area! Guest access Herdwick View has car parking for one car, and then some steps up to the decking area. You have access to the paved car park area and a small paved space behind, as well as the decked area that surrounds the side and front of the caravan. There is limited parking for extra visitors by the sales office at the entrance to the site, and there are waste bins located in a central area of the holiday park.
