There is a separate driveway and entrance in the front of the house as well. Bob and Deb will be available whenever you need assistance. If for any reason we cannot be available we will make arrangements for someone to assist you. As advertised, this is a cabin nestled in the woods. We are approximately 1 hour from Baxter State Park which is a National Monument, 1 hour from Bangor, just over 2 hours to Bar Harbor, and 1 hour and 45 minutes to Eastport, Maine. We are also just 40 miles to the Canadian border. Travel to many locations should be by private car. If you are flying into Bangor or Portland you will need to rent a vehicle. If you are driving to our location, bringing bicycles, kayaks, canoes, ATV’s or other watercraft in the summer will enhance your opportunities to enjoy our lakes, rivers and trails. Canoes or kayaks may be available for rental from your hosts, please inquire prior to arrival. Recreational properties in Maine are almost always on private septic systems. That being said, we require that guests do not flush any products other than toilet paper. This includes all feminine products and baby wipes, even if they are advertised as flushable.
