Altham Farm at Croftby in the Scenic Rim is a private 100-acre retreat where the Teviot Brook waterway winds past rolling paddocks and scenic mountain views. The space The fully renovated 1910 homestead features open plan living between the family room and kitchen, as well as a separate formal lounge. The open plan living/kitchen opens out onto an outdoor entertaining deck and full wraparound veranda, with sweeping views of the Scenic Rim: Mt Moon and the Main Range National Park. You are truely nestled within these majestic mountains. The formal lounge contains a fireplace and an idyllic space to sit and read a book or enjoy the mountain views through the original french doors. The house offers a full and well appointed kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and large kitchen sink, and an independent island bench for the prepping of beautiful home cooked country meals or decadent cheese platters before your short journey into Boonah to visit on of the many local restaurants. A 4 burner BBQ is located on the deck with easy access to the kitchen. The property has one outdoor table for 8 on the back deck, and an island bench easily sits 4 on wicker chairs. A single, well appointed bathroom with large shower contains both a waterfall shower and hand held shower head. Enjoy a bath with views of the rolling country hills. The home features three (3) full-sized bedrooms, as well as a fold out in the formal lounge, which can be separated from the family room/kitchen by a pocket door. Two (2) of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the other has two single beds. The pull out queen bed can be folded away during the day and pulled out at night time. Sit and enjoy the wood fire place inside or venture outside to the fire pit whilst watching the sun set over the mountains to the west. When you arrive on the property you will pass through a shallow creek crossing that is often no higher than ankle height, whilst the creek crossing is shallow with a hard rock base, low vehicles are not recommended. Very rarely heavy rains in the mountains make the creek impassable for a day or two. Situated just 20 minutes from Boonah you have an array of country pubs, wineries, restaurants or cafes to choose from. The property is also located between Moogerah and Maroon dam where fishing, skiing and boating are enjoyed or simply visit some of the local scenic rim walks on offer The property is a working cattle property, there is a strict no hunting policy and all gates must stay the way you find them, if open leave them open, if closed, pass through them and close behind you. Guest access Wonder around the farm exploring or simply put your feet up next to the beautiful babbling Teviot brook waterway that runs around the property. A small playground is located just meters from the deck. Other things to note A camera is located on the shed only.
