You can park your car right by the house, and there are plenty of storage facilities for bicycles and skis. The central location between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald, in the small Garmisch district of Kaltenbrunn, is the perfect base for a variety of activities in any season: extensive walks on the surrounding lakes, hikes and mountain bike tours in the warm season as well as unlimited skiing and snowboarding in winter. The entrance to the cross-country ski trail network as well as the Kaltenbrunn Biathlon Stadium, the home facility of our local Olympic champions, are within walking distance. Alpine skiers can enjoy the ski resorts "Garmisch Classic" and "Zugspitze" with varied slopes and unique impressions in a few minutes' drive. By car or public transport you can reach the Olympic Ski Stadium with the Olympic ski jump, the Partnach Gorge, the Hausberg and Eckbauer cable cars as well as the historic Ludwigstrasse in Partenkirchen in a few minutes. The pedestrian zone in Garmisch with various shopping facilities, tourist information, spa park, casino, theater, etc. as well as the violin building town of Mittenwald are definitely worth a visit.
