David's Cottage

The Cottage has 4 en-suite bedrooms, 2 rooms with queen size bed and 2 rooms with 2 twin beds each. Bedding provided 3 bathrooms has a shower, basin and toilet, 4th has a bath as well. It has a well equipped kitchen for 8 guests, with a gas/electric stove, microwave, kettle and toaster. Indoor & outdoor barbeque facility. TV available with SABC channels. Experience beautiful sunsets over the Gourits River and Outeniqua mountains. Listen to the rumble of the sea and the sounds of roaming sheep. The space We are a working sheep farm with game such as Springbok, Swart Wildebeest, Eland, Elpacas, Zebra and Black Wildebeest. The farm is a fisherman's dream with a 10km river front to pick the perfect spot for fishing. Another beautiful fishing and picnic spot is the nearby Fransmanshoek - a must see. Kanon can also be included here for fishing. Within 50km we offer viewing of the Big Five at a Game Lodge near Albertinia, wine tasting at a nearby wine farm and for the keen golfer a few well known courses in the area. Nearby farm restaurants offer tipical "Boerekos". The farm lends itself to hiking, jogging, cycling, star gazing, bird watching and nature to the fullest. If you are lucky you might see our sheep dog Abby working the sheep or maybe a group of Botswana shearers shear our flock of sheep. Who knows, mabe a ride on a tractor or plough...... Guest access Guests are able to access the whole farm. Our roads, although gravel, are quite accessible with a normal Sedan. With a 4x4 vehicle one can also do some dune riding closeby. Other things to note *We have farm water: for sensitive stomachs bottled water is recommended. *We do have braai wood available at an additional cost. *We offer a “woodfired hot tub” at an additional cost. *Electric blankets on beds. *Please bring your own beach towels, food & drinks. *NO TV *NO WI-FI. *NO PETS
