The secret room

Welcome to our little “Mini Home”! Guests love its cleanliness, comfort and excellent location, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the station & town centre. London King’s Cross and Cambridge are both around 30 minutes by train. The loft-style mezzanine has a king-size and double bed, with a compact, well-equipped kitchen and shower room. Families are welcome, with toys and baby equipment available on request. Guests can use the patio table and chairs, although the garden is shared with our family. The space About the Annexe Our annexe is a cosy, loft-style space with a king-size bed and a double bed, both located on the mezzanine floor. On the main floor, you’ll find a compact, well-equipped kitchen with a 2-ring induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine and milk frother. There is also an under-counter fridge with a freezer compartment. The shower room is also located on the main floor and includes a Japanese-style toilet. The sleeping area is accessed via stairs leading to the mezzanine. As this is a loft-style space, the ceiling height is lower in some areas, so taller guests may need to take a little extra care when moving around. Photos of the mezzanine and stairs are included in the listing so you can see the space before booking. The annexe is very well insulated and has comfortable water-based underfloor heating (not electric). Outdoor Space & Privacy The doors from the secret room open onto our patio area with a table and chairs, which is available for your use. Please note that the patio forms part of our main family garden, so unless previously agreed, you may see us using the garden during your stay. The rest of the garden is not included with the annexe, as it is part of our private family home. We kindly ask guests not to explore or use these areas. Thank you for respecting our family's privacy. There are two outdoor security cameras, one monitoring the front and one the rear of the property. Important Information 🚭 Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the property, including the garden. 🚗 Parking for one car is available inside the property. An additional fee applies if you require parking for a second car. 👥 The annexe is most comfortable for 4 guests. A 5th guest can be accommodated using a foldable mattress on the floor, and we will provide fresh linen. However, please be aware that this is a basic sleeping option and space will be limited, so it may not be the most comfortable arrangement. Guest access Guests have their own access to the annexe through the garden and exclusive use of the annexe itself. When arriving by car, please park in the parking space closest to the annexe. To access the annexe, use the path on the right-hand side of the property and follow the signs for “The Secret Room.” You are also welcome to use the patio area and its table and chairs outside the annexe. Please note that the patio forms part of our main family garden and is not a private outdoor space, so you may see us or our family using the garden during your stay. The rest of the garden is private and not accessible to guests. We kindly ask that you respect this as it is our family home. Parking for one car is available inside the property.
