The space The nearby market town of Spalding, just 4 miles away, boasts a thriving theatre, a range of shops, a railway, a bus station, and many local attractions. A little further afield is the historic town of Stamford (25 miles away), famed for its part in the films Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch and The Da Vinci Code and is home to the famous Burghley Park Horse Trials. Step into the cottage through the bi-fold doors into the beautiful open-plan kitchen/diner. Sink into the antique Chesterfield sofas admiring the wonderful riverside views while the fire flickers in the background. Retire to the snug which is decorated in a dark and soothing colour scheme, the perfect place to snuggle up with good company in front of the TV after a day exploring the area. There is a downstairs shower room, decorated with floor-to-ceiling tiles and a larger-than-usual shower. Head up the open staircase, where you will find two comfortable bedrooms, each decorated with a relaxing colour scheme and offering well-thought-out furniture which matches the cottage perfectly. The garden is a special space with a patio and seating, leading to decking with steps down to a platform on the river. Sit here and watch the boats bob by and the wildlife that comes to visit.
