Farm stay in Xaibe
Farm stay in Xaibe
Description
Tulsi House (Family Room – sleeps 4) is a simple, spacious stay on our eco homestead near Corozal. It suits families who are happy with a rustic, nature-first setup and shared facilities. You’re surrounded by jungle and gardens, with space to slow down and unplug, yet still within easy reach of town and the Mexico border for stopovers and day trips. Includes a double bed plus two bunks, and access to the shared covered kitchen and shared outdoor bathroom. The space We’re a family-run eco homestead set down a long dirt road, surrounded by jungle and neighbouring farms, with very few people nearby. The land is lush and “jungly”, with plenty growing—papaya, pineapple, calabash, ginger, turmeric, sweet potatoes, peppers, and a mix of herbs and spices (including cinnamon and allspice). You’re welcome to wander the gardens and open spaces, relax in a hammock, and enjoy the rhythms of the homestead. We also keep dogs and cats on site, and we have lots of chickens—so mornings often start with birdsong and farm sounds. If you’re curious, we’re happy to show you around: we offer free farm tours where you can see what we’re growing and learn how our honey is produced. Our handmade products (honey, hot sauce, creams, shampoos) are also available to buy during your stay. Guest access You’ll have a private family room in Tulsi House with sleeping for 4 (double bed + 2 bunk beds) and a locking door. The room uses our shared facilities: Shared outdoor bathroom: covered stone wet-room with a flushing toilet and a cold-water shower (no hot water). Towels are provided. Shared kitchen/dining (in front of Tulsi House): covered, airy space with a 4-hob stove + oven, stovetop kettle, pots/pans, cutlery, crockery, and drinking water. Tea/coffee/sugar/milk are available in the cupboard. Fridge: there is no guest fridge in the shared kitchen, but you’re welcome to use the fridge in our house—just ask and we’ll show you where. Parking: free on-site parking with plenty of space. Outdoor space: there are hammocks to lie in and 6 acres of farm that you are more than welcome to explore and enjoy. Other things to note Cold-water shower (no hot water). Solar power is strongest in the daytime and more limited at night (lights/charging still possible). Wi-Fi is usually good for calls, but occasional outages can happen outside our control. Nature-first stay: insects/spiders are common; scorpions/snakes are possible. Dogs, cats and many chickens live on site, and mornings can be lively. No alcohol on site. No smoking. No parties/events. Pets on request.
