This cosy Cottage has all the necessary things, good shower, kitchen, sofa, TV, BBQ and queen size bed. It is possible to make the sofa as bed, suitable for kids. Nearby is Skálholt, Gullfoss and Geysir. From the Cottage you have a view over River Hvitá The space Hossilo is privatly owned, there is a bathroom with a shower, qeen size bed, sleeping sofa and kitchen with basic appliances Perfect for a couple or a small family. The cottage is pretty modern since it was built in 2008 The cottage Hossilo is located in the town of Laugarás, in the southern part of Iceland, Close by is the historic cathedral of Skálhollt, one of the two oldest perishes in Iceland ehere there is no lack of monuments and other historic things. There is also a zoo called Slakki only 500 meters away, the zoo has many farm animals wich the children can play with and get close and personal to, the zoo therefor is perfect for the whole family. Laugarás has also a health clinic and a grocery store, you don't have to travel for a long distance to go horseback riding or sightseeing. Life here doesn't move at the same pace as in the rest of the world, this is the perfect place to relax and go sightseeing (Gullfoss and Geysir are only 30 min drive away) you can also go fishing in one of Icelands breathtaking rivers or simply go to one of the many golfing fields in the southern part of Iceland. I believe Laugarás is located perfectly, close to many attractions where you can enjoy the Icelandic countryside at your own pace and retreat from the fast pace of the modern world.
