In Lavangen there are several marked hiking trails, and Midnattsoltrappa is popular to walk up the 2000 steps to the foot of Spanstind where you can really enjoy a magical experience of the view of northern Norwegian mountains and the Lavangsfjord. Spanstind is 1457 m to the top. Lavangen is a very popular place for tourists, and we have previously hosted several years of impressed guests from many countries. If you want to visit Tromsø, we can, on request, offer rent in our apartment for 4 people (provided it is available then). Other things to note Lavangen has a grocery store, and in the next fjord, Salangen, you will find the village of Sjøvegan (18 km / 11 miles) with several shops, as well as a pharmacy and a liquor store.
