This is a renovated traditional two-story brick building on a quiet historic street in Sighnaghi, with a self-sufficient heated apartment on the lower level and a huge open room with breathtaking views of the southern Caucasus mountains on the upper floor. Clad inside with rustic Georgian brick, you should not expect to feel like you are in a modern house. (If you are looking for white-washed plaster walls, this is not the house for you!) On the main level is your apartment for up to four persons with two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with tub+shower and washing machine. The larger bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The small bedroom has a set of bunkbeds, with a double mattress on the bottom and a single bed on top. There are two additional single beds and a bathroom with shower on the unheated, open-plan upper floor. High ceilings and traditional thick stone and brick walls help keep both floors of the building cool and comfortable during the summer. There is a recessed porch outside the entrance doors, perfect for staying out of the sun on hot summer days. There is a recessed parking space in front of my house that can accommodate most sizes of cars, although you may need to park at a diagonal. Guest access A second front door (the one on the right) as well as an adjoining door from the main bedroom open onto a small traditional supra (feasting) room with a fireplace. A steep staircase leads up to the upper floor. During the summer this upstairs space will be available for you to lounge in and enjoy the even more wonderful view of the Alazani valley and the Southern Caucasus mountains.. The upper level, which was designed to be a rehearsal & dance practice space, consists of a large open room with a second bathroom (with a shower) and a small balcony. This room has a sitting area to lounge in, hanging rope chairs and two twin-sized beds to provide extra sleeping space for guests if you wish to book the house for a larger group than four. Other things to note I will send you a map to the house ahead of time. Please don't try to find the house using your GPS navigator—it will take you in the wrong direction! Your reservation requires a security assurance of $150. Rest assured that no charge will be made unless you have incurred damages during your stay.
