Marie’s Country Home - a former farm house exquisitely transformed into an eight person guest retreat. Nestled in Ireland’s Ancient East, in the town of Ardee, is close to so many of Irelands beautiful and historic places of interest. It combines modern comfort and luxurious finishes with original charm. A mere 40 mins drive from Dublin Airport, 1 hour to Dublin city centre and 1hour and 20mins to Belfast. Marie’s country home is your perfect base for exploring the Irish countryside. The space The hot tub, located privately, at the back of the house, has the most amazing views of the countryside. You can relax with friends and family in luxurious comfort, and also having your own getaway venue. In summer, there is a large outdoor area for summer barbecues. We are very close to many wedding hotels, making a lovely place for any bridal party travelling before the wedding, or guests attending. Our kitchen is boasting fabulous views of the farm and the countryside. It is fully equipped for your convenience. For any bakers, there are plenty of traditional baking utensils to use. In the summer there are cooking apples growing in the garden to make apple tarts. There are traditional dining dishes to create your own intimate dinner party for an occasion. We have traditional afternoon tea dishes in a lovely country setting. Locally there are many caterers that will supply dining options too. We have flasks and a picnic bag for you to bring on any country walks. There are four large bedrooms, finished to a very high standard. Hotel quality bedding throughout. Rooms 1 and 2 have large King beds and en-suites. Rooms 3 and 4 share the main bathroom and each have double beds. Room 3 can be changed to 2 singles with prior notice.
