Giannoula's house is ideal for a group or a family who want to spend a quiet holiday and get to know the life of the village as a part of the authentic Crete. The house is located in the center of the picturesque village of Katalagari, just 15 minutes from the city of Heraklion, the port, the airport, the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and the Minoan Palace of Knossos. The space Giannoula came as a bride to this house with her furniture and embroidery, she made her family with Dimitris, an active, hardworking man with a cheerful spirit, love for the land and the people. The house is located in the center of the picturesque village of Katalagari, just 15 minutes from Heraklion, the port and the airport. It is 20 minutes from the northern beaches of Heraklion and about 50 minutes from the enchanting beaches of the Libyan Sea in South Crete. Katalagari is a lively and hospitable village, especially during the summer months. It has traditional restaurants and a place for food, drink and live music, offering an authentic local experience. Guests can enjoy quiet walks and hikes through enchanting natural landscapes, discovering hidden trails and nearby archaeological sites.  Within walking distance are Archanes, a beautiful and lively village, known for its excellent food, picturesque alleys and vibrant local life. Katalagari is located at an altitude and the view from the balcony to the plain with the olive trees is panoramic. We have lovingly preserved our mother's handmade furniture, combining it with modern amenities for an authentic Cretan hospitality experience.
