Casa Acquamarina – no name would better describe the successful synthesis of stone and sea: after an antique, restored entrance door and a wrought-iron, white lattice door made by an artist, you reach the 1st floor via a staircase covered with stone (warm clay). On the landing, a "rosone" made in Vietri sul mare/Amalfi Coast shines towards you. It comes from the famous and traditional company Vietri Antico and is an extremely tasteful hand-painted ceramic insert in the floor, which looks like a designer foulard and reflects the colors of the sea. Through the front door – all doors inside are made of white wood and custom-made – you enter the living room, which leads to a large balcony with fantastic sea views. Via a round arch, turn left into the (2nd) bedroom, which has a sofa bed and thus looks more like a living room. If you occasionally do not use the terrace for dining, you can also dine here. From the entrance on the right is the bedroom with a fancy white iron bed that has marine knots, in true Mediterranean style. From all three rooms you can enjoy a magnificent sea view, the floors are all equipped with aquamarine-colored Vietri Antico tiles. The decor is also extremely tasteful and very characteristic: sea-colored pillows on white rattan furniture. Throughout the duplex apartment you will find beautifully shaped stone wall lights, another memorandum of arte mediterranea. The elegant bathroom is white and has attractive ceramic inserts with marine motifs. Flowing washbasin table, crystal compartments as a shelf, crescent-shaped shower cubicle (90×90 cm), toilet, bidet and window separated by a white sliding door. Everything is very well maintained in detail! The 2nd floor houses the storage room and the well-equipped kitchen. The floor and work surface are covered with local stone. The drawers etc. are carpenter-made. From up here, you can reach the 35 sqm panoramic terrace, which offers a magnificent, unrestricted sea view, via another wrought-iron lattice door/safety glass door. You can hear the sound of the sea. An Italian would say una sensazione come su una nave in mezzo al mare. (When the weather is nice, you can even see the lighthouse of the thermal spa Torre Canne).
