Step back in time. Immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind stay. Open the door and step into the lives of the Fea family. Fully furnished with the original furniture and artefacts, Boloquoy sleeps six adults in three historic double beds – and the option to sleep in an original Orkney box bed. Spanning from the 1800s parlour to the authentic 1950s kitchen (and luxury 21st century bathrooms), Boloquoy is a truly unique opportunity to journey through time. Find out more on your houtube channel. The space The ground floor Parlour sleeps two in an original Victorian double bed within the box bed alcove. Upstairs, Annie’s Room sleeps two in a beautiful white cast iron double bed, or provides the opportunity to sleep in an authentic Orkney box bed. Meanwhile, the Master Bedroom features an 18th century four-poster bed. The Old Kitchen, still containing original range, has been repurposed as a sitting room and study for guests. The New Kitchen and Dairy are staged in the 1950s, when they were added. Hidden away upstairs is a modern shower room, and downstairs a luxury 21st century spa bathroom. Guest access Guests enjoy full access to this 100% authentic Victorian home, its 1950s kitchen and the Fea family archive of historic artifacts, photographs, documents and journals to browse at your leisure. The farm and livestock, full vegetable and flower garden, mill and outbuildings are yours to enjoy. As the house contains naked flames including oil lamps and candles, and no TV or digital devices, we don't advise bringing children under 12. Other things to note We believe Boloquoy is unique in the UK in being a fully original Victorian home containing only the possessions of a family across the 19th and 20th centuries, we trust our guests to respect the privilege of being able to enjoy this experience and treat the artifacts with care.
