Large room in a pretty quiet farmhouse

Welcome to our charming farmhouse, surrounded by vines, birds and soft light. Here, everything is designed to offer you a peaceful and comfortable stay, just 18 minutes from Cognac, on the border of the two Charentes. You will enjoy a large bedroom overlooking the pool, on the 1st floor. It has access to a shower room and toilet, TV, Wi-Fi (fiber), and a coffee machine with free pods. A brand new double bed will offer you a restful sleep. The space Our old Charentaise longhouse has a soul , that's why we chose it. Here the parquet floors squeak, the birds sing and the well-being is the key word ... we live especially on the ground floor of the house and we will be delighted to offer you tea or coffee in our living room by the fireplace or on the terrace in the sun , in order to get to know each other if you wish! Your room located on the 1st floor ( this floor is dedicated to our visitors), is called Les Blés , it is spacious and well equipped with coffee maker,pods, TV, wifi ( fiber). You will enjoy a brand new 160 bed that will give you a restful sleep. This room also features a sofa bed that can very comfortably accommodate a 3rd person. A bathroom is dedicated to you at the end of the hallway. The toilet is located right next door . In principle, the bathroom and toilet are shared with the 3rd bedroom (Magnolia); however, if you absolutely insist, we can make these facilities private for your exclusive use (provided that Magnolia is not occupied, of course). Don't hesitate to ask us about this. Of course the bed will be ready to welcome you and towels are also provided . A library and reading nook are available on the same floor, as well as a desk if needed. Between 8:00 and 10:00 , we will welcome you in the dining room to serve you a full breakfast (homemade sourdough bread, orchard jams,eggs from our chickens , hot drinks and other treats ...) In season, you can enjoy the swimming pool ( unheated ) or a relaxing moment in our garden at your leisure . This house is our family home, we live there with our two Tj dogs, a very nice ( but sticky) border collie and Violet , an adorable (but noisy😂) young dachshund and Jeannette, an angora rabbit, unfortunately we can't accommodate your pets in the rooms, believe that we regret it. Our area is beautiful, runners or walkers will be able to enjoy the many paths in the immediate vicinity of the house. You can also do cognac , pineau and wine tastings throughout the region! Guest access You will enter through the typical porch of Charentais houses. Your room is located on the 1st floor (this floor is dedicated to our visitors), it is called "les blés", it is accessible by an old wooden staircase opposite the front door of the house. You can park your vehicle (car, motorcycle, motorhome) in the closed hangar, safely. We are 18 minutes south of Cognac and its many distilleries, 16 minutes from Barbezieux, 40 minutes from Angoulême train station, 80 km from Bordeaux and 45 minutes from the ocean (Royan, Meschers, Talmont), 1 hour 30 minutes from La Rochelle. During your stay We are reachable by phone without any problem or by email or by carrier pigeon (but it's more complicated to find!) Other things to note We would appreciate it if our guests could remove their shoes when going upstairs (we can provide slippers) to keep the carpets clean :) The beds will be made and ready to welcome you, as well as the towels. Regarding breakfast, please let us know about any allergies or specific diets at least 2 days before your arrival. We promise you a VERY gourmet, homemade breakfast to get your day off to a great start! We can offer to share the evening meal, starter, main course , dessert and drink for €25 per person, to be provided in advance as well. Check-ins start at 3 p.m. and checkouts start before 11 a.m. For other times, please don't hesitate to contact us, we will try to accommodate you.
