Holiday home with lake views in the Vänern archipelago

The house is a year-round residence built in the 1960s and renovated in 2025. The house is located right by Lake Vänern on the outskirts of a quiet residential area by the old Färjelägret on Torsö. The closest town is Mariestad, 15 minutes by car. The house has a generous terrace, outdoor kitchen, and a patio that can be used in spring and summer. The forest as the nearest neighbor and a lovely view of Lake Vänern. 2-minute walk to swimming. The whole purpose of the house is to be a place where you come to recharge and relax. Rented on a weekly basis. The space The house has three bedrooms. Two with a double bed 180 cm. One room with bunk bed - lower bed 120 cm and upper 90 cm. There is also a desk and desk chair. Kitchen - fully equipped with dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, fireplace (you can buy wood yourself if you want to have a fire). Kitchen sofa, chairs and table. Dining room with room for up to 12 people. Living room with TV, two sofas and armchair. The glazed conservatory is just outside. There is a sofa, table and armchairs. Bathroom with good storage, shower and floor heating. In the basement there is a washing machine and dryer. In one of the storage rooms there are also balls, ping-pong rackets, etc. Guest access You can use the whole house Other things to note Torsö is a fantastically beautiful island. Here you will find beautiful walking paths in the forest and many beaches around the island for both rock pools and the beach. Hattarvik for cliffs and Sandviken for beach. On the other side of the island is Brommösund with Laxhall, the island's only restaurant. From here you can take the ferry over to the Brommö nature reserve. You can rent bikes on the island. On the other side of the bridge, there is a pizzeria and small grocery store as well as a campsite with a beach. In Mariestad, we must recommend the harbor where you can buy Kling's ice cream (made in Mariestad), Neapolitan pizza at Lago E Colina and fish from Lake Vänern at Albin's fish or Sill och Dynamit. Mini golf is available a little further away in the harbor or at Bäcken. The town also has all the major grocery stores and several cozy little shops. Not to be missed! If you want to make excursions in the area, we recommend Göta Canal in Sjötorp, Norrkvarn, Kinnekulle, beautiful Lidköping and hiking in Tiveden.
