Description
The Psacharopoulos Neoclassical house was built in Sifnos during the middle of the 19th century. The house is located on the edge of Artemonas, a traditional and unspoiled village. The space Two-story house, with land and surrounding garden of 1.5 hectares. The house can accommodate one to two families, or a group of up to 8 people. On the ground floor are the dining room, the traditional kitchen with exposed beams, and the typical Sifnos fireplace that was used to prepare lunches and meals, a bedroom adjacent to the dining room, the bathrooms as well as the cellar that kept the family's bottles at the desired temperature. A double staircase leads to the upper floor, which includes five bedrooms, a studio office and a living room overlooking a balcony with an extraordinary view. The high-ceilinged rooms retain the furniture of the time and the objects belonging to the family, thus giving this noble atmosphere to the house. The house is surrounded by a garden and a courtyard on several levels, from which you can enjoy the panoramic view of Sifnos, the Aegean Sea, and the islands of Folegandros, Sikinos and Antiparos. Under the shade of the trees, lunch or coffee gives a note of relaxation, and in the evening, under the starry sky, a glass of wine joins the image of illuminated Apollonia.
