The check in and check out times listed of 11 and 3 pm are "check out by" and "check in after" times to enable us time to clean and set up for the next guest. If you need more time, just ask! If nobody is staying the night after you (or not coming til later) we are absolutely willing to be flexible. Hosts live upstairs in a seperate unit but will be available to provide travel tips, recommendations, etc. Just send us a text! This apartment is directly across Eagle Street from the Executive Mansion. Walking distance to Lincoln Park, which is a beautiful downtown park with a .5 mile loop and plenty of green space. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is across the street, which is a recently restored Roman Catholic cathedral with beautiful architecture. 5 minute walk to the concourse/empire state plaza. Bars/restaurants within walking distance. Lark Street is less than a mile up Madison Ave. Pearl Street is about a mile away. 5 minute drive to bus terminal/train station. Parking is on street (and generally easy to find a spot) however we do have a covered parking spot for a small vehicle, if required. CDTA busses run nearby and can bring you anywhere local. I have no familiarity with the bus schedules or routes, but you can find this information on the CDTA website. TU Center is about 10 min walk Palace Theatre 15-20 min walk Lark street 10-15 min walk Concourse/Capitol/legislative building/justice building 5-10 min walk State museum 5 min walk We do charge a cleaning fee of $10 per stay for guests staying 2 nights. Guests staying 3 or more nights, the fee will be $15 per stay. This amount will be added as a special offer after you request to book. We do have the apartment professionally cleaned. We are also legally required to charge sales tax (8.75%) and local occupancy tax (6%). The taxes compute to $10 per night. This amount is included in the $85 per night. IMPORTANT: PARKING -- Parking is street parking. We live downtown in a city. I cannot guarantee parking. I cannot tell you where you will find a spot. While parking is generally fine (you will find a spot within one block), Sunday and Monday nights can be tough if you get here after 8 or so due to parking restrictions. It is not impossible to find a spot, but it is more difficult. The streets are very well marked with signs. Please do not ask me where to park. If you ask me where to park, I will tell you to read the signs. I really have no better insight into parking than to direct you to the signs. If you are parking Monday through Friday during the day (between 8AM - 6PM) it is "Resident Parking" zone however we do have a guest pass to override this - just send me your license plate number and state and I will enter your information into the City of Albany and you can remain parked all day and night. If you are traveling with a canine companion, there will be a charge of $25 for the first night and $10 for any additional night. A dog bed and bowls will be provided upon request. Dogs are NOT permitted on the furniture!
