Hire boats can be rented from Brooklyn Central or Brooklyn Marina (best for driving to Brooklyn) or Hawkesbury River Marina (best if arriving to Brooklyn via train). SHARING We live permanently in the main house. The two buildings are about 20 meters apart and separated by a dense garden, providing substantial privacy. The path to the jetty is shared - sometimes we'll need to pass through the Sheoak Shanty garden to get to our boat. This will be minimal. DOGS There are no gates between She-Oak Shanty, the main house, and our neighbour's house. Luna (our dog, a cattle x Jack Russel) and Charlie (our neighbours dog, Kelpie) will want to meet you. Both are very friendly. PRIVACY There's a path behind She-Oak Shanty that our neighbours sometimes use. The inside of the building is screened from views from the path (when curtains closed), but if you're sitting outside in the late afternoon you may be greeted by a friendly neighbor or two walking their dogs.
