Relax with your family and friends in this peaceful, comfortable, rural setting, only 8 kilometers from the town of Dungog. We are suitable for short stays, friends catch ups, Bride & Groom accommodation and a place to share your craft and hobbies with like-minded friends. Unwind in the peaceful environment on our cattle property. Take time out to enjoy the garden, surrounds and to enjoy all the comforts of home as you settle into our little piece of paradise. The space Strathbrook is a working cattle farm of 460 hectares (1,150 acres) and varies from gentle creek flats to steep undulating hills. Livestock are watered by Dingo Brook, Bedding Down and Thalaba Creeks that traverse the farm and unfenced open dams. Florence Talbot House is located on the farm about 8 kilometers from Dungog. The house is named after my paternal grandmother, a hard working, community-minded country woman, who raised ten children. It was built in 2025, for the purpose of family gatherings and farm stay accommodation. The house has a private entrance for guests and is located in the middle of a working cattle farm. The property's owners and contractors work on the farm breeding Angus beef cattle. The garden and house curtilage is a work in progress, but enjoy what we have achieved so far. Please respect the neighbors by staying within the boundaries of Strathbrook. Guest access A secure lock box is located at the front door at the Guest's entrance, allowing guests to check in and out independently of host. The code will be sent prior to your check in. There is plenty of parking and concrete stairs to the front door, allowing all weather access. Other things to note Bedroom Configuration: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed with private ensuite. Bedroom 2: Queen Bed. Bedroom 3: Queen Bed. Bedroom 4: 2 x King Single Beds. Plus: -Family sized Bathroom (shower, separate bath and vanity) -Powder Room- toilet and vanity. As we are only about a 10 minute drive from Dungog, it is easy to explore and enjoy what the town has to offer. Also, we are only a relatively short drive to the Dungog Common and the highly regarded mountain bike tracks, including The Flow. Strathbrook is a working cattle farm.
