Cozy Railway Cottage Log burner Parking. Charming

Tucked away in a peaceful spot close to the canal and walking distance to traditional pubs and shops, the cozy cottage offers a truly unique stay. Full of character it’s a perfect escape for anyone craving a cosy private retreat, with a gorgeous log burner and private garden and parking space. The cottage enjoys excellent transport links to Manchester and Stoke while remaining wonderfully secluded. Trains can be heard passing from time to time - a nostalgic reminder of the cottage’s heritage . The space I have recently trained as an interior designer, and enjoyed every minute of renovating this character property , it has a warm friendly cozy feel. The overnight sleeper , Railway Cottage is 5 minute walk to country pubs, bars, Chinese, chip shop, bakery, convenience store, hairdressers, canal, train station and bus stop . 5 mins drive to Congleton town centre and a 20 minute walk . Lovely walks on the door step. The railway station is 3 minutes walk, and the lovely canal is 5 minutes walk. The property is a short drive from many tourists attractions such as Alton towers, Lapland Uk, Emma Bridgwater, chatsworth house, the Potteries, Tatton park. A near many wedding venues such as Sandhole farm, the Plough, and the Lion and swan and the Swettenham arms. The cottage also boasts a short walk to train station with links to stoke on Trent and Manchester. The cottage is set in a small wooded area, there is parking In front of the cottage, and space for additional cars onsite. The cottage has an entrance porch for shoes and coats and binoculars in case you want to look at the many birds at the front of the cottage. The entrance porch leads to a living area. The living room has a log burning fire, and a smart TV. Books are available and can be taken home if you don't finish what your reading. The dining area boasts many original features such as wooden beams and a decorative stove. Games, books and jigsaws, quizes are there to be enjoyed. There is also a toy box. In summer months there will be a picnic basket - feel free to use it. We do have diffusers gently scented the cottage, however if this is an irritant to you please let us know in advance so we can remove them before your stay . A door leads to the kitchen where you can find a coffee machine, cooker, slow cooker, dishwasher, half fridge half freezer , dishwasher and washing machine tablets, iron and ironing board and breakfast bar. Oil, salt, pepper and herbs. The kitchen is fully equipped for your needs. Fresh milk can be found in the fridge. The private outside area is paved, and has BBQ and table and chairs, and cushions, with festoon lights. You will also find a retractable clothes line. Beyond the paved area is a small fairy garden which lights up at night. The stairs are steep - so may not be suitable for the people with certain disabilities or the very young. Upstairs there is a very comfortable king size bed and a smart TV, hairdryer, drawers, hanging rail, dressing table and full length mirror. There is a linen basket for dirty laundry. The second bedroom is very compact but contains a very comfortable small double bed, wardrobe, drawers , full length mirror. A travel cot can be erected on request. A fan will be left in the summer months June- September, however it can also be left on request. Bedding and towels are provided. Pillows are Aylea, spare pillows can be found under the bed. The shower room has a shower but no bath. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and toilet roll are provided. Guest access The whole house Other things to note We will leave coffee pods and enough logs to start you off. You can purchase additional logs from the local convenience store. To make the property safe for those guests with pet allergies we don’t allow Pets. As part of the cottages original character, the stairs are quiet steep. Because of the layout we’re unable to install a stair gate at the top, so we kindly ask quests to take extra care.
