Co-founder and artistic director of THE CENTURY Paris brand for 30 years, I developed a universe around the art of receiving, the love of the decorative arts, handmade and craftsmanship of excellence. To receive you among my creations while making known this wonderful region of Alto Alentejo is my ambition. The space The Maison des Oiseaux has been the object of a meticulous restoration of more than 2 years that has allowed it to regain its beautiful pride, while offering to those who live in it, a simple and relaxed way of life, quite current. The Bird House is located in the heart of the historic town of Crato in Alto Alentejo ; the city, cradle of the Order of Hospitallers in Portugal at the beginning of the XIII, then seat of the Order of Malta a century later, is located in Alto Alentejo 2 hours from Lisbon and a few kilometers from the Spanish border. By reinterpreting the traditional decoration of Portuguese seigneurial houses – decorative paintings, stucco, ceramics, ornamental textiles – I combine my creativity with the simplicity and refinement of the art of receiving "alentejano».
