Hagby Herrgård +8 pers, jacuzzi & private garden

Description

The whole manor house is yours. Nothing shared with other guests, no neighbors in the house – just your group in a 200-year-old manor with a large private garden, hot tub, and views down to Hagbydammen. Perfect for those of you who want to get together in person across generations, a large group, or a group that deserves something better than a conference hotel. Hagby Gård, a manor house with history dating back to 1809 – exclusive and spacious accommodation for families, holidays, groups and friends looking for peace, quality and beautiful surroundings near Nora. The space Hagby Gård offers exclusive and spacious accommodation in a cultural-historical setting, located about 2.5 hours from Stockholm and about 30 km north of Örebro. The house is located a bit on the outskirts of town with nature around the corner and about a twelve-minute walk into central Nora. It takes about ten minutes to the Bryggeriet neighborhood, where you will find, among other things, the award-winning restaurants Bryggerikrogen and Bonnatösens burgare. The house offers plenty of space for both socializing and privacy. There are five bedrooms with a total of ten beds. Extra beds can be accommodated in a couple of the rooms for those who are willing to share the space. The accommodation has two exclusive bathrooms with toilet and shower, as well as a simpler separate toilet. The large kitchen with a large kitchen island is fully equipped and adapted for cooking together, holidays, and long dinners. Dining table for 8 people, but with a little effort, 10 people can be accommodated. For those who want, there is the possibility to order gourmet food for catering from local providers. The generous common areas make it easy to gather, whether the purpose is celebration, creative work or socializing. The house was built in the 19th century and is suitable for year-round living, but during the winter half year, it can still be nice to have a pair of slippers. The three fireplaces contribute to both comfort and atmosphere: a Bergslag stove in the kitchen, a fireplace in the living room on the lower floor, and a tiled stove upstairs. Many of the rooms have preserved, wide original plank floors that enhance the character of the house. The magnificent double staircase that greets you at the entrance immediately gives a sense of the wingbeats of history. The hand-painted wallpaper is believed to be original from the 1800s and contributes to the house's unique character. Outdoors, there is a large plot of land with space for relaxation all year round, although the garden comes into its own in spring, summer and fall. The hot tub and patio give a clear premium feel and are appreciated after both active days and quiet evenings – as well as for breakfast or evening gatherings on the covered porch. For guests with mountain bikes, there is the possibility to store bicycles and wash equipment after the rides. The back of the house would, in fact, be better described as the front of the stately, over 200-year-old lady. Here, the private garden opens up. During the greener months, a large, green space is formed, enclosed by trees and greenery. The generous lawn invites you to both socialize and rest, and between the trees, you can catch a glimpse of Hagbydammen, which enhances the feeling of peace and privacy. The opposite side of the house faces more openly towards adjacent, inhabited wing buildings (which are not part of the accommodation). There are plenty of swimming opportunities in any of the cozy lakes within about a 15-minute walk. The accommodation has Wi-Fi and a TV with Apple TV, making it easy to connect computers for presentations, movies or work. For individual work, there is a separate, exclusive office with two workstations, an English partner desk and 2 exclusive lounge chairs. At the house, there is parking for about eight to ten cars and the possibility of charging an electric car. A quick charger is available about a 3-minute drive from the house. In the nearby area, there is a wide selection of experiences. The well-preserved wooden town of Nora and its surroundings offer award-winning cuisine, cafés, well-preserved cultural environments and the classic Noramarken, known from the song Tre små gummor, which is still held every year during the last week of August. Other activities such as the light show, Nora Days or why not a visit to Stadra Theater in the summer. The area is also known for its many hiking trails and mountain bike trails. Access to basic exercise equipment is available. Perfect for • Families and groups, with sleeping space for up to about ten adults (in addition, about 4 children depending on how you want to share the space). • Holidays and special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Midsummer, birthdays and anniversaries • Management teams, workations and smaller retreats. Most things are within 10-15 minutes. • Active guests with an interest in cultural history, hiking or mountain biking • Longer or shorter stays in a quiet environment close to nature. Between 3-6 nights depending on the period. For companies, management teams & retreats Hagby Gård is not a conference facility, but Hagby can be well-suited for smaller corporate groups seeking a secluded and inspiring authentic environment for management team meetings, strategy days, or workations. Cook together in a family home environment, order catering, or book a table at one of the local award-winning restaurants. Although the house is basically a home environment, the combination of the generous spaces, wifi, privacy and proximity to services in Nora provides good conditions for creative work in an environment that also provides relaxation and a new experience. If a dedicated conference room is needed, there is a possibility to arrange this within about ten minutes' walking distance. Other requests as needed. History & stories It is said that Anders Wedberg, also known as the "King of Nora," had Hagby Gård built as a summer residence for his wife. It is also said that there was once a passage from the house down to the pond as a possible escape route when parts of the family's business fell into disfavor – the hinges in the stairs are still there. The estate is also mentioned in Maria Lang's book Camilla från skiljevägen, which links the place to Nora and its cultural history. Please let us know your wishes, and we will do our best to create a really nice stay for you, whether you are a management team, a family or another group. Guest access 5 bedrooms. 8 beds and a sofa bed. You have access to the entire house. Possibility by arrangement to store a mountain bike, motorcycle or similar in a separate garage. Other things to note As guests, you need to be careful and, for example, not leave candles burning unattended or leave windows and doors open when you leave the house. You are expected to have your own home insurance or other insurance that covers any accidents or injuries. The accommodation is intended for the guests who stay in the house. Loud parties or gatherings with external guests not included in the booking are not allowed. • Pets are welcome by agreement. • Electric car charging is available on the property. Quick charger within 5 minutes. • Smoking is not allowed indoors. • Show consideration for the house, the surroundings and the tranquility of the area, especially in the evening and at night. • Fine cleaning is included – guests do not need to perform any final cleaning in addition to normal tidiness and that it is reasonably tidied up and roughly cleaned after the stay.
