Sleeping up to 18 guests across six ensuite bedrooms, Woodside gives families and groups of friends plenty of space to spread out while still feeling connected. The flexible zip-and-link beds can be arranged as king or twin, with additional sofa beds providing extra sleeping space where needed. Outside, the extended private patio is home to three private hot tubs, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day while taking in views towards Bulbarrow Hill and the surrounding countryside. Woodside Retreat is completely self-contained for your group, while still giving you access to the wider shared facilities across The Victorian Barn Dorset estate. Woodside Retreat is set in peaceful rural Dorset, with countryside walks, pretty villages and plenty of great local pubs nearby, as well as easy access to Sturminster Newton, Blandford Forum and Sherborne. The Jurassic Coast and many of Dorset’s best-known attractions are also within reach for day trips, making it easy to combine time relaxing at the property with exploring the wider area. Guest access You’ll have private use of Woodside Retreat, including the accommodation, patios, outdoor areas and three private hot tubs. Guests also have shared access to the estate’s indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, games room, activity suite, children’s play area, three coarse fishing lakes and countryside grounds. EV charging is available on site. There is ample free parking close to the property and level access into the accommodation. Access is via self check-in. Other things to note Woodside Retreat has six ensuite bedrooms with flexible zip-and-link beds, allowing bedrooms to be arranged as king or twin. Additional sofa beds provide sleeping space for a total of up to 18 guests. Three private hot tubs are exclusively for Woodside Retreat guests. The indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, games room, activity suite, children’s play area, fishing lakes and countryside grounds are shared with guests staying in our other holiday accommodation on the estate. Travel cots and highchairs are available on request, subject to availability. The property is single-storey with level access and an accessible WC. It can be suitable for guests with limited mobility, although it is not fully wheelchair adapted. A refundable £600 security deposit is required prior to arrival and is collected separately. This is processed as a pre-authorisation (no money is taken) and is automatically released after departure, subject to no damage or breaches of the house rules. The Victorian Barn Dorset is a working countryside estate and there may be livestock in adjoining fields. Electric fencing may be in use around livestock areas.
