It's the ideal place for gentle hiking trails between endless meadows where time seems to stand still. Visit the El Juncal reservoir. Climb to La Virgen de las Nieves, a hermitage located on a peak where you can enjoy unique views. 🏖️ Beaches: Oriñón beach and Sonabia cove are a short drive from Suite Mia, there are also other beaches very close, Laredo, Santoña, Castro Urdiales, Noja, Somo, Santander... In Cantabria you can visit many beaches. ​💎 Liendo: The Valley of the Mansions Just a stone's throw away, this hidden gem is known for its impressive Indian mansions. Don't miss the route to San Julián Beach, a magical cove protected by vertiginous cliffs. There's also the Devil's Eyes route. ​⚓ Castro Urdiales (10 min away) Pure marine flavor. Visit the Church of Santa Maria and the Castle-Lighthouse. It is the only place in Europe where you can see the colony of griffon vultures flying over the sea, a unique sight that, in fact, is not strange to enjoy from your own terrace, since they often pass gliding over the cabin. ​⛵ Santoña and Laredo Cross in "the little boat" from Laredo to Santoña to taste the best anchovies in the world.
