A peaceful, cosy haven in a pretty village
The Old Cow Shed
Description
Get away from it all in this warm, spacious, converted barn with exposed timbers and solid wood floors. Open plan living with a large sofa & smart TV. Set in the heart of the village, with walks from the front door, you’re tucked down a shared driveway. The peace is only broken by the occasional hoot of an owl. A sun-trap terrace and gravel parking can be fenced for dogs. An excellent pub is a 2 min walk up the road. You’ll sleep soundly in a super-king bed or twin singles on prior request. The space The cowshed is a Victorian addition to the adjacent timber-frame barn which was built in 1610, some 30 years after the farmhouse at Town Farm (also available to rent airbnb.com/h/townfarm) . The cowshed was converted 15 years ago, conserving the vaulted ceilings, brick walls and tiled roofs. There is step-free access, solid wood flooring throughout and a flame-effect electric stove. Guest access The entire property is for your exclusive use and enjoyment. The paved terrace and gravel parking can be made dog-proof by closing the sheep hurdles provided. The driveway is shared with the farmhouse behind. Other things to note Booking a table is advised if you’re planning to eat at the pub, especially if you have a dog, as they are only permitted in the bar area (which is nicest!)
