You will experience the perfect symbiosis of Scandinavian minimalism, modern design and Nordic nature. Nestled in the forests of Bohuslän, on a hilltop overlooking the nearby lake, our modern tiny house awaits you. YOUR HIGHLIGHTS: Wellness in the forest: A private sauna, floor-level rain shower, and underfloor heating in the bathroom make this a mini spa oasis. Location: Discover the fascinating contrasts of Bohuslän and Dalsland – where the world’s most beautiful archipelago coastline merges seamlessly into endless forest and lake landscapes. Pure nature and outdoor activities: Various outdoor seating options (including a hammock), access to a swimming area with a rowboat, and hidden hiking trails through a beautiful forest with blueberries and chanterelles right outside the door. ___________________ LOCATION The property is located in the forest – just four kilometers from the nearest paved road (via a well-developed gravel road, however, easily accessible by any normal car) – on a small hill with lake views between birches, spruces and pines. On different levels around the house there are different seating areas as well as a private fireplace, a grill and hammock. Inside and outside – Swedish nature always surrounds you directly. Chanterelles are often found right in front of the house between July and October, and hiking trails through beautiful Scandinavian forest – teeming with mushrooms and blueberries in summer – start right from the house. A rowboat on the idyllic lake can be used by arrangement. ___________________ LIVING AND SLEEPING From the bed, there is a wonderful view over the lake and surrounding nature and if you want, you can be awakened by the sun's rays on your face. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, oven with microwave function, induction stove, and fridge with freezer, and is ready for relaxed cooking experiences after a day in nature. Everything you need to make coffee and tea is provided, and both coffee and tea can be used free of charge. The bathroom has a sauna with a view of the expanse, underfloor heating and a rain shower with floor-level access. The house has Wi-Fi and a stereo sound system for acoustic support of the living experience. ___________________ THE OUTDOOR AREA The outdoor area features a spacious wooden veranda that offers the best option for different times of day: facing east for breakfast in the morning, facing the lake during the day, and allowing you to watch the sunset in the evening in summer. In addition, there is a private little viewing rock with seating and a fire pit, as well as hammocks between the surrounding trees. A Weber grill is provided. ___________________ THE REGION The area offers endless exciting excursion destinations: Located right on the border between Bohuslän and Dalsland, perhaps the best of Swedish nature is close by – the breathtaking west coast with its fjords, thousands of islands, and picturesque coastal towns (Bohuslän), and the deep forest and lake landscape of Dalsland. There are dozens of nature reserves nearby, and lovers of the coast, forests, and lakes will have plenty to choose from on their vacation. Famous coastal towns in Bohuslän, such as Smögen, Fjällbacka, Hunnebostrand, Lysekil, and Grebbestad, can be reached in about 40–50 minutes. The well-known towns of Bengtsfors, Billingsfors, Ed and Dals Långed, located in the heart of Dalsland, as well as the famous Dalsland Canal, can be reached in 60–80 minutes. Baden: In the lake in front of the house: a few minutes' walk On the beach (saltwater): about 15 minutes by car Hiking, mushrooms, and berries: From the front door. Other well-known hiking trails are nearby (e.g., Bohusleden, about 10 minutes by car). Fishing: Salmon fishing on the excellent Örekilälven River, about 12 minutes by car For sea trout and mackerel, 15 minutes or more by car For pike, perch, and pike-perch in various lakes in the area Paddle out: Canoeing, kayaking: In various lakes, at least 12 minutes away by car Sea kayaking: In the fjord, at least 15 minutes by car; on the open Schären coast, at least 35 minutes by car All peace lovers, nature lovers, hikers, anglers, paddlers, climbers and mushroom pickers will get their money's worth here. And also those who like it to be fashionable: Oslo and Gothenburg are about 2 and 1 hour away by car. Shopping and train station can be reached in about 10 minutes by car. A transfer to the train station can be arranged by appointment. ___________________ EXTRA 2 sea kayaks and 1 canoe can be rented on site at a reasonable price, including roof racks – hundreds of kilometers of coastline and dozens of lakes await exploration! The landlords are nearby, are available for questions and excursion tips at any time if needed and prepare breakfast on request. ___________________ If you have any questions of any kind, please just write—we respond very quickly. Guest access The immediate surroundings of the guest house, including hammock and fireplace, are exclusively available to you. The nearby forest with many small hiking trails can be freely explored thanks to the Swedish right of public access. The lake including bathing area and jetty is accessible. Other things to note Our property is located in a quiet and peaceful environment, far away from everyday urban noise. We ourselves live on the extensive property with our children and charming group of chickens (who are happy to share their eggs!). Our own house is some distance from the guest house and outside the charming but always reserved backdrop of Swedish family country life can occasionally be noticeable :)
