Cosy seaview cottage with a large garden in the heart of pretty Port Charlotte, Isle of Islay. Walking distance to award-winning restaurants, and wide open views to Loch Indaal. Two minutes' walk to the beach and pier, and an ideal base to explore Islay's charms! The space The cottage is a traditional single storey home which has been recently renovated. It is comfy and compact - 51m2 in total - and ideally located to explore beautiful Islay. The light open plan living/kitchen/dining has sea views to the front and a view onto the long garden at the back. The kitchen has modern appliances, including an electric hob/oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The lack of dishwasher is compensated for by the views from the sink of Loch Indaal, with the possibility of seeing a pod of passing dolphins! The living room has a cosy wood-burning stove, TV and a good selection of books and board games. The front bedroom has two single beds (or can be configured as a king-sized bed), a double wardrobe and under bed storage. It looks out over the sea. The back bedroom has a king-sized bed, chest of drawers and views to the back. It is quite compact (e.g. with hanging hooks instead of a wardrobe), so leave any large suitcases behind! There is a toilet with electric shower adjacent to the bedrooms. The house is heated with electric radiators and the wood burning stove. Other things to note The cottage is an old traditional, quirky little cottage that has been recently renovated. It retains a lot of its original features such as timber-clad walls. The shower room/toilet has been newly renovated but is quite small, and may not suit all, so please do inquire of you need any more details.
