Nestled within the municipality of Villafranca in Lunigiana, the Borgo di Malgrate is a picturesque medieval village rich in history. Founded in the early 14th century by Marquis Nicolò Malaspina, the village is centred around its ancient castle. Our house stands at the south-west facing end of the borgo, built in the 18th Century and lovingly restored at the turn of this century.
