Ballygally Retreat

Ballygally Retreat is a ground floor, open plan apartment with its own private entrance, 5 min walk to the beach. Our family home is above it. There are zoned lounge, kitchen, dining & bedroom areas with a private bathroom. It sleeps up to 4 people (2 ADULTS & 2 KIDS). There’s an outdoor (sheltered) Hawaii Limited Edition hot tub on raised decking overlooking the mountains & with sea views. This is an ADDITIONAL £20-£25 per day (paid in cash to host). Electric car charging is an extra cost. The space The spacious open plan room (oil heating) & multi fuel stove. There’s a 50” widescreen wall mounted television with free sky channels, firestick, a DVD player, Alexa, digital radio, cooker, extractor fan, microwave, a wine cooler, fridge, freezer, washing machine, air fryer, slow cooker & coffee machine. The lounge area has a very comfortable black leatherette corner sofa which converts into a double bed (ONLY SUITABLE for 2 kids). There’s a dining table that can comfortably seat 4 people. High chairs, travel cots with bedding & blankets are available (free of charge) for babies / toddlers. There’s an electric shower, shaving plug & shaving mirror in the en-suite bathroom. A Complimentary starter food basket; basic toiletries, towels, bedding, dressing gowns & slippers (for the adults) are all provided. The bedroom area in the open plan zoned studio apartment has a comfortable double bed, 2 bedside units, a chair; a space for hanging clothes & double uPVC French doors. Ballygally Retreat can comfortably sleep up to 4 people (MAX 2 ADULTS & 2 KIDS). A large modern grey gloss 16 cubed Kallax Unit with storage boxes forms a partition to visually screen off the zoned lounge & bedroom areas. The storage boxes in the unit contain kids toys, Lego, board games, dvds, cds, adult & kids books, puzzles, local information on what to see & do, maps, food take away menus etc. Guest access There’s a large raised decking area with 2 covered pergolas to the rear of the property so our guests have shelter in the rain. There’s a Hawaii Limited Edition hot tub on the decking (NB. this is only available for use from 1st April to 1st November). Parents MUST ENSURE their children are supervised AT ALL TIMES in the hot tub. The hot tub is an ADDITIONAL, OPTIONAL EXTRA at £25 per day to cover the cost of chemicals (includes the sanitisation/ ozone cleaning system), cost of electric to maintain an approx 38 degree heat (35/36 degrees for children) & daily maintenance of the hot tub. The additional hot tub fee is to be paid in advance, in cash on guests’ arrival / check in to Ballygally Retreat. The hot tub has two 2hr filter cycles spaced 12hrs apart for the effective sanitisation & filtration of the tub. Guests are not permitted to use the hot tub during filter cycles. These cycles are from noon - 2pm & midnight - 2am. Guests can use the hot tub from 08:00 - 11:45 & 14:00 - 23.30. There is a mini speaker system at the hot tub which can be operated from your mobile using Bluetooth. If guests are staying in Ballygally Retreat for 3 nights but would only like the hot tub on 2 of the days/nights, the total extra would be £50 per couple/family. We live in a quiet residential area & are respectful of our neighbours. We also expect our guests to adhere to these hot tub times & keep outdoor noise to a minimum. Guests can luxuriate with a 🍾🥂, unwind & relax on our raised decking with outdoor comfortable seating with patio heater while chatting, listening to music 🎶 , or the waves 🌊 crashing on the beach 🏖, or soaking in the mountain 🏔 & coastal views! And why not take a break to relax in your swimwear, dressing gowns & slippers in our hammock, egg swing chair or our sofa in front of a gas patio heater (additional cost of £10 per average stay). It would be our guests’ responsibility to ensure they do not leave the patio heater unattended when lit & to switch it off before leaving the decking area. A barbecue 🍗 🍖 is also provided for guests to use (charcoal & food 🍱 not provided). There’s also a 2 ring gas cooker, outdoor kettle & pizza 🍕 oven. Other things to note *Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (under 13 years old). However babies under 2 years can also be accommodated if they use a travel cot.*
