Small yurt in beautiful carcross

Stay in a unique dry yurt surrounded by nature. Heated with a wood stove and equipped with a propane cooktop. Electricity is provided for lighting. Drinking and cooking water is supplied using Blue Jug water. Includes a outhouse. 5-minute walk to Caribou Crossing (Yukon Experience), 15 min walk to Carcross Desert and 40 min walk to the Carcross Commons, and a short drive to Emerald Lake. Aurora viewing and wildlife sightings possible. The space The yurt is located on a peaceful, treed property surrounded by Yukon nature. It sits close to the main house for convenience and security, while the surrounding trees provide privacy and give the yurt its own quiet, tucked-away feel. This is a dry yurt with a wood stove for heat, a propane cooktop for preparing meals, and electricity for lighting. Fresh Blue Jug water is supplied for drinking and cooking, and guests have access to a private outhouse. The property is in a great location for exploring the Carcross area. It’s approximately a 5-minute walk to Caribou Crossing (Yukon Experience), 15-minute walk to the Carcross Desert, and 40-minute walk to Carcross Commons, with Emerald Lake just a short drive away. Guests can enjoy the peaceful natural setting, and depending on the season and a little luck, may have opportunities to see wildlife or the northern lights right from the property. Guest access Guests have private access to the yurt and outhouse. The yurt is located on the same property as our home but is tucked among the trees, providing privacy and separation from the main house. Guest parking is located near the main house. From the parking area, guests will walk through part of the home property to reach the yurt. Guests are welcome to enjoy the natural surroundings and the outdoor space immediately around the yurt. Other things to note We have a large, open, fully fenced kennel area available for guests travelling with pets, giving dogs a secure outdoor space during their stay. This is a dry yurt, so there is no running water or indoor plumbing. Fresh Blue Jug water is provided for drinking and cooking, and guests have access to a private outhouse. The yurt is surrounded by nature, and wildlife may occasionally be present on or around the property. For guest safety, a bear horn and bear spray are provided in the yurt. Because we are in wildlife country, no garbage or food should ever be left outside or unattended. All food, garbage, pet food, and other scented items must be securely stored when not in use. This helps avoid attracting bears and other wildlife to the property. Please supervise pets outdoors and keep them within the designated kennel area when appropriate.
