Vicarage Barn, Ings near Windermere-pub 5 min walk

Vicarage Barn is just a 5 minute drive from Windermere (3.9km). The house is ‘upside-down’ with bedrooms downstairs and living/dining room upstairs. Built from traditional lakeland stone, the Barn can sleep three people in one double bedroom and one single bedroom. The Barn is in the garden of the Old Vicarage in the small village of Ings. The village is home to the award-winning Watermill Pub (a 5 minute walk from the barn) which serves excellent food and brews its own real ale. The space Vicarage Barn is an ‘upside-down’ barn conversion built from traditional lakeland stone. It has two bedrooms, shower room and kitchen on the ground floor and the living-dining room is on the first floor. The Barn can sleep 3 people in one double bedroom and one single bedroom. The accommodation is fully equipped with a fitted kitchen including a dishwasher. Linen and towels are provided as well as free wifi. Cycle storage is available. There is a relaxing outdoor seating and eating area outside Vicarage Barn set within beautiful views. Vicarage Barn is not suitable for children under 5 (as the stairs are steep and there is a stream nearby). An additional child bed is available on request. No dogs or pets are allowed. Nearby in Ings are: - the Watermill Public House and Micro Brewery (5 minute walk away) - the Lakeland Visitor Centre (10 minute walk away) - Pret cafe (5 minute walk away) - Londis convenience store (4 minute walk away) Many local walks (both easy and hard) are available directly from the door :) Other things to note We do not allow dogs to visit as we have other animals nearby (sheep, chickens, horses, cats). The stairs are quite steep, so not suitable for the under 5's and for people with mobility issues.
