Cabin in Prestestranda

Cozy, simple cabin for rent. Proximity to swimming and fishing opportunities, central to shops, train station. 3 bedrooms, 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed and a family bunk. Connected to electricity, ONLY SUMMER WATER. There is an outdoor toilet that is in the same building as the cabin, but there is the possibility of a portable toilet for children. See pictures. There is water in the cabin for various purposes. When booking, you will receive a more detailed description, or send a message for questions. The space A cozy cabin for rent, Prestestranda, Drangedal. Approx. 5-minute walk to the water. Short walk to the city center, Drangedal center with the state liquor store, pharmacy, various shops, and a gas station. Electric car chargers are available at the center. A local bar is open on Saturdays during the winter season, within walking distance. About a 1-hour drive to Sommarland in Bø, Gautefall Ski Center. 20 minutes to Kragerø, 1 hour 20 minutes to Arendal. Train station in Drangedal – the train goes to Oslo, etc. The cabin is a simple but cozy place. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 7. Electricity is connected, and there is ONLY SUMMER WATER, which is located far up by the porch. The water is turned on from April 1, so there is no need to bring your own water. Outdoor toilet, but a portable toilet can be provided indoors for children. Path from the road up to the cabin, about 50 meters. 3 TVs in the cabin, no internet or TV channels. We usually bring a Google Chromecast to connect to the TV. There is a DVD player, and some movies are there too. Fridge with freezer, oven, wood-burning and panel stoves. An obstacle course with two swings (see photos) has been created behind the cabin for children. This is made of wood and must be checked by adults before use, as weather and wind can weaken the structure over time. Use at your own risk! A basketball hoop and balls are in the cabin. You are welcome to use the toys, games, drawing materials, etc. that are available in the cabin. During the summer, there are several activities in the area, including a petting zoo and swimming – an obstacle course out on the water. We have chosen not to charge extra for cleaning, as we believe that guests should not have to pay NOK 1,000–2,000 for this when the vast majority of people can clean/vacuum/tidy up nicely on their own. The motto is “leave the cabin as you found it.” We have purchased a campfire pan that can be used. I generally don't want animals, but I may be open to requests. DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE; if you smoke, please use an ashtray or similar container, and do not litter cigarette butts around the property 🙂 Guest access The entire cabin is rented. Leave the cabin as you found it 🙂 We haven't included a cleaning fee because we ourselves think it's ridiculous to pay an extra 1,000–1,500 for a stay when you can easily leave the place in the same condition you found it in on your own. I hope the same for my guests 🙏 Other things to note Generally do not want animals, but can be flexible upon request and information. There are no TV channels; we usually use Google Chrome to stream TV on the three TVs in the cabin, and there is a DVD player (movies are at the cabin). No smoking inside. An outdoor area has been created for children, with an obstacle course and two swings; the course is made of wood, which means that weather conditions can cause parts to move, etc. The sledding run must be checked by adults before use, and children play on it at their own risk!! There are keys hanging in the key cabinet in the cabin by the water, and in the waste disposal shed where garbage is thrown. Water jugs are labeled “drinking water” or “non-drinking water.” When using a portable toilet, please contact us for instructions on the additives that need to be added.
