Poona Heights Milbi is located near the Great Sandy Strait and K'gari on the Fraser Coast. The water is literally a stones throw away! You can enjoy the serenity with peaceful walks on the beach. Bring your boat to access the Fraser Coast waterways via the new Boat Ramp just 2 minutes away, or launch your kayak off the beach. Milbi is a cosy retreat, which includes all the comforts to ensure you can relax and enjoy your visit - and want to come back again to this slice of Queensland Paradise. The space Poona Heights Milbi is located just a few steps away from the water on the Fraser Coast. The Guesthouse: Open the french doors to capture the sea breezes. Milbi is a light filled, low-set self contained property with a double and single bed in the shared bedroom. There is also a fold out couch available in the lounge area - which makes up into a double bed. Milbi has a well equipped kitchenette, dining area and comfortable lounge space. The bathroom is accessible from the bedroom. All linen is provided for bedding and bath for your stay. Included Extras: Starlink Wifi available; TV with Chromecast available; Coffee Machine; 2 Kayaks; Books and Games. Fur babies are welcome, and the rear yard is fenced. *****For larger gatherings Poona Heights Kondari and Poona Heights Milbi can be booked together when available - which is an ideal solution for larger groups to holiday together. To book both houses please make two bookings - 1 for Kondari and 1 for Milbi.***** The location: Poona is a friendly little seaside town that offers peaceful days and lots of serenity! Poona Heights Milbi is located right on the water on the Fraser Coast, with fantastic views across the Great Sandy Strait to K'gari. If you enjoy fishing - beach fishing is available within a 30 metre walk, or boat access is a 2 minute drive to the newly refurbished boat ramp. The protected and calm waters make kayaking and paddle boarding good options for the more adventurous, and at Milbi there are 2 Kayaks available for your use, including paddles and trolley. For nature lovers - birds and other wildlife can be easily spotted along the foreshore - and the sunrise and high tides are a photographer's dream. Locally, the Poona General Store stocks all the essentials, home cooked baked treats and take away food options if you want a break from cooking. The "Tides Out Cafe and Bar" offers dine in and take away options, when open, and is located next to the Poona Boat Ramp and Caravan Park. Every Friday night the Poona Community Hall offers a low cost dine-in experience, where locals prepare a fantastic meal and have a friendly competition to see who can cook the best dinner! Vehicle access to K'gari is via the Barge at River Heads or Inskip Point. Hervey Bay, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach are less than an hours drive away and are great day trip options. Boonooroo is 20 minute drive away and has a great bowls club with sensational cold beers and family friendly dine in meals. Maryborough offers major shopping and retail options and is a 20 minute drive away. The town is a lovely historic town and is also the birth place of 'Mary Poppins'. Please note there is no undercover parking at Milbi. You can park off street in the front yard. Also, there are no petrol options in Poona, the nearest petrol station is located at Maryborough.
