The space Welcome to our family’s own spacious and cosy log house in Hetta, right by the lake in Finnish Lapland. This is not a property “styled only for rentals” – it’s a real home. That means practical everyday comforts, thoughtful equipment, and a warm, lived-in atmosphere that makes it easy to relax, even on longer stays. Space and comfort The house has generous living areas for spending time together – plenty of room to cook, play games, chat, and enjoy evenings as a group. Upstairs you’ll find three bedrooms, offering privacy and a good night’s sleep even for larger parties. The kitchen is well equipped, with lots of dishes and cooking utensils, so you can easily prepare proper breakfasts and dinners without the “minimal rental set-up”. Location and nearby services The yard is peaceful and close to nature, yet everyday logistics are simple: the village centre is about 1.5 km away, and a service station is around 300 m away. This is especially convenient if you’re travelling by snowmobile – it’s quick and easy to drive over for fuel. Skiing, snowmobiling and the fells A cross-country ski track is only about a 150 m walk from the house. From there you can access the Aurinkolatu (“Sunny Track”), with direct routes towards Pyhäkero and the surrounding fell trails. A snowmobile route is also nearby, making the house a great base for winter activities. Getting here and getting around Arriving is easy: there’s a good road all the way to the property. A bus stop is about 300 m away if you’re coming by public transport or want to travel part of the way by bus. Lapland skies On clear, dark evenings you may even be able to see the Northern Lights right from the yard – sometimes without needing to go anywhere at all.
