The space Renovated in 2025, this ground-floor apartment is a private, self-contained retreat within our family home. The south-facing layout features a modern kitchen and a brand-new rain shower bathroom. Insulated ceilings and roller blinds ensure comfort and privacy. Step outside your private entrance directly onto the Hahnenbachtal Tour and the Soonwaldsteig — two of Rhineland-Palatinate’s most celebrated certified hiking trails. It is the kind of place that feels completely removed from the world — until you realise you can hike forest trails in the morning, sip a Mosel Riesling or local Kirner beer by the afternoon, and still be just 20 minutes from Frankfurt Hahn airport. We live on the upper floors, but your space is entirely independent; we won’t cross paths unless you want us to. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire ground-floor apartment via a separate side entrance. Please note that the entrance is reached by going up a few outdoor steps from the street. Other things to note Rural Setting: Bundenbach is a state-recognised “Erholungsort” — a certified health and recreation resort. It is quiet and rural. There is no nightlife or shopping; restaurants selection is limited and have to be booked in advance, in return, you get exceptionally clean air and peace. Hiking Access: The Soonwaldsteig and Hahnenbachtal Tour pass through Bundenbach — the official trailhead is a short 5-minute walk downhill. Leave your car outside and head straight into the forest on foot. Sunday Closures & Cash: Shops in nearby Rhaunen (5 min) are closed on Sundays. Please plan your supplies accordingly. Many local cafes and regional sites do not accept cards — carry some cash.
