The CASA DE CIMA is part of the Herdade do Burrazeiro estate. It is an independent house, surrounded by pastures in montado of cork oaks and holm oaks. The space MONTE ALENTEJANO IN BORBA (RIO DE MOINHOS) CASA DA CIMA is part of the Herdade do Burrazeiro estate. It is an independent house, surrounded by pastures in montado of cork oaks and holm oaks. From the house's porch, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Alentejo cork oak forest landscape. Maximum capacity of 8 people (maximum 6 adults) The house comprises of: - Equipped kitchen - Bathroom, with shower base; - En-suite bedroom 1 with a double bed and private bathroom - Bedroom 2 with two single beds, a double bed, or the option of a double bunk bed - Bedroom 3: King-Size Double Bed - Spacious living room with dining area, TV, game/table - Porch equipped with table, chairs, sun lounger, and barbecue. Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - Queen-Size Bed Bedroom 2 – 2 Single Beds or 2 Bunk Beds Bedroom 3 - 2 Single Beds Option for an extra bed in the rooms, provided the maximum occupancy of 8 people is not exceeded. The beds are made upon arrival, and bath towels are also provided, as well as pool towels during the summer season. Wi-fi available throughout the house. The house has an air-conditioning system (heating and cooling), complemented on winter days by the comfort of a wood-burning fireplace in the living room. Firewood is provided for guests. On the day of your arrival, you will find a loaf of Alentejo bread, sheep and goat cheeses from a local cheese shop, and 6 eggs from our hens (there is olive oil and salt available in the house). Daily we will make delivery of Alentejo bread (1 offer). More bread and cheeses can be ordered the day before. You can order bread and eggs through our online guide. End-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than one week, cleaning services with a change of bed linens and towels are included every seven days. Extra cleaning can be made on request. Guest access Herdade do Burrazeiro is a property covering approximately 200 hectares located in Alentejo, between Estremoz and Borba, on the foothills of the Serra d'Ossa. This is a well-known wine region, where you can visit several renowned wineries. The surrounding landscape of Herdade do Burrazeiro is directly linked to its agricultural activity, consisting of cork oak and holm oak forests, pastures used for extensive cattle farming, and vast expanses of vineyards. The landscape to the south is dominated by the Serra d’Ossa. In addition to the farmland, the estate features a swimming pool with spectacular views of the Alentejo countryside, an orchard where you can pick seasonal fruit, a pond with two kayaks and two stand-up paddleboards, trails for walking or biking (available on-site for free use), a games room (table football, table tennis, darts), and some fitness equipment. There are several activities available to the occupants of CASA DA CIMA: - Start your day by enjoying breakfast on the porch while watching the cork oak forest and the cattle grazing leisurely; - Enjoy the walking (or biking) trails available on the Herdade and in the surrounding areas; - On summer days, cool off with a dip in the blue water of the fantastic swimming pool; - When you get hungry, prepare your own meal at home and enjoy it in the tranquility of the porch, or pay a visit to one of the area's excellent restaurants, where delicious Alentejo cuisine takes center stage, whether in its simplest form or refined with modern creativity; - When you're outside the property, take the opportunity to visit some cultural sites in the area (Vila Viçosa, Borba, Estremoz, Évoramonte, etc.); - Enjoy a wine tasting at one of the many excellent wineries nearby; - Enjoy the challenge of a canoe race on the dam - a game of ping-pong; - Relax in the peaceful delight of a late afternoon, watching the wonderful Alentejo sunset, and in the evening, wrapped in a blanket, marvel at the splendor of a starry sky.
