There is something for everyone in the surrounding area. In winter, various snowshoe hiking trails pass close to the house. A cross-country ski trail can also be used day and night. The farmhouse is situated just outside Schwellbrunn on a private road. Direct access to the house is possible and parking spaces are available right next to the flat. The steep road, paved with Ecoraster, is not necessarily recommended for cars with long wheelbase or lowered cars. The nearest bus stop is a 30-minute walk away. By car it is 10 minutes to Herisau and 20 minutes to the city of St. Gallen or Appenzell.
