Designed in the spirit of slow living, our guesthouse sits on the hillside of the Vértes Mountains, within walking distance of Csókakő Castle. The dog- and child-friendly house accommodates up to 2+2 guests and features three terraces on a spacious, forest-edge plot with panoramic views. Optional add-on services (local breakfast basket, wooden hot tub) are available upon request. The nearby Mór Wine Region offers wine tastings, hiking, and seasonal programs year-round. The space Hillside Hideaway with Panoramic Views in Csókakő Our garden is set on the hillside of Csókakő, just a 10-minute easy walk from the Csókakő Castle parking area. Although it lies within the village boundaries, it already feels like a peaceful holiday retreat. The stunning views come with an elevated location: the roads leading uphill are relatively steep but always accessible, and all our neighbors are permanent residents, ensuring a quiet and safe environment. Above the house stretches the forest, the home sits midway on the slope, and below lies the street with breathtaking views over the village and the surrounding countryside. The 1,500 m² terraced plot offers plenty of hidden corners and cozy spots for rest and relaxation. We consciously keep much of the garden in its natural state, allowing wildflowers to grow freely and mowing only where needed—creating a space that is both comfortable and visually soothing. We believe the house is ideal for two guests—whether you’re a couple, close friends, or family members traveling together. That said, we are also happy to welcome small families or guests who are comfortable with an open-plan sleeping arrangement. The approx. 45 m² house features an entrance hall, a small wine cellar accessible from inside, an open-plan living–kitchen–dining area with a cozy sleeping nook, and a bathroom with a bathtub. The sleeping nook includes a comfortable 140×200 cm double bed, while the living area offers an additional double sleeping option via a futon that converts into a bed of the same size. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, baking, and reheating, and includes a toaster, electric kettle, microwave, capsule coffee machine, moka pot, French press, refrigerator, and freezer. Complimentary coffee capsules and tea are provided. The house is fully winterized. It is mainly heated with Scandinavian electric heating panels, and an air-conditioning unit ensures summer comfort while also providing supplementary heating during cooler months. Children and dogs are very welcome. Magazines, books, Wi-Fi, numerous relaxation spots, and a breathtaking panorama all invite you to slow down and unwind. In addition to the terraced layout of the garden, the house also features three built terraces—each offering beautiful views from every angle. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire house and garden; the property is not shared with anyone else. Use of the wood-fired hot tub is available for an additional fee. Heating the tub is the guests’ responsibility; we provide firewood, kindling, and all necessary tools. Hot tub fees: HUF 10,000 for the first heating, plus HUF 5,000 for each additional heating. Please note that lighting the stove is time-consuming, requires continuous attention, and some basic fire-starting experience is helpful. Fresh water is provided for every new guest after the tub is thoroughly cleaned. A breakfast basket made from local producers’ products is also available for an additional fee (HUF 20,000 for 2 guests / 2 days).
