Surrounded by orchards, paddocks and open skies, the property offers stunning sunsets as the sun drops behind the mountain range, abundant birdlife, and a level of peace that’s hard to come by — while still being close to everything you’d want to explore. 🌿 The Farm You’ll be staying on a working hobby farm with plenty of life and character. We grow a wide variety of seasonal produce in our orchard and gardens, including cherries, apples, apricots, almonds, and more, depending on the time of year. The property is also home to lambs, chickens, an apiary with very happy bees, and three extremely friendly dogs who may wander past to say hello during your stay. All water on the property is rainwater, collected from tanks. 🌄 Location & Things to Do 10 minutes to Ararat or Great Western 30 minutes to Halls Gap & Grampians National Park 3 minutes to Norval Dam (swimming & fishing) Excellent local wineries within a 15-minute drive Easy access to scenic drives, walks and hikes throughout the region The farm is extremely peaceful and rural — just the right distance from the action to feel secluded, without being isolated. 🛋️ The Space Guests have their own private driveway and self check-in, with exclusive access to an entire half of the house. Your space includes: A large lounge room with a pool table, piano, fireplace, fold-out couch and a PlayStation A dedicated work desk for anyone needing to work remotely Two bedrooms A dedicated private shower and bathroom A fridge, microwave, BBQ, kettle and toaster for simple meals and snacks ✨ Perfect For Couples or friends seeking a quiet rural getaway Wine lovers and hikers exploring the Grampians region Remote workers wanting peace, views and space Anyone looking to slow down and enjoy nature If you’re after calm mornings, star-filled nights, beautiful sunsets and a genuine farm-stay experience on the fringe of the Grampians — this is it. Guest access Guests access the property via the second gate, marked with a sign reading “Ponderosa.” Please ensure the gate is closed behind you once you enter. From there, follow the driveway through to the parking area at the rear of the house. Once parked, follow the path through the gates to the back of the house, where your private entrance is located. Please remember to close any gates behind you as you move through the property. The back door will be unlocked ahead of your arrival for easy check-in.
