Frequent departures & refreshments on board. Continue across islands with bridges. Coming from south, (E39/E134), you drive through the Bømlafjord underwater tunnel to Stord island, continue as above, until you reach the tiny Sæverudsøy island. Here you find a few permanent residents - a tiny, authentic community, where activities connected to the sea are natural parts of life. The house and shoreline faces a secluded archipelago. The spacious property of 4000 square meters, with a generous, private shoreline, offers you: - A unique feeling of space and privacy - A private driveway where you can drive right to the door to unload your luggage - Generous parking areas - EV charger (Easee) at no extra cost - Direct access to the sea via a wide path from the front door area, or via a wooden staircase from the garden - A perfect house for longer stays Facilities by the sea: - Wooden pier equipped with a fold-down swim ladder - Rowing boat (max 4 pers.) w/ 2 sets of oars - 2 inflatable SUP boards - Light fishing gear - Life jackets - Outdoor furniture - A tiny fire pit & firewood About the house Architecturally, the house is a typical Norwegian wooden home, built in 1993 Here you can enjoy: - Sea views from the living areas - Spacious well-equipped chef's kitchen for those who love cooking - Drinkable tap water of excellent quality and taste - Generous countertops made of the Norwegian natural stone larvikite, with unique, shimmering crystals - A large, solid Scandinavian style oak dining table with comfortable leather chairs - Direct access to the terraces from the dining area - A closed fire place - Oak floors & underfloor heating in the living areas and the bathrooms The living area offers: - Two comfortable reclining chairs & a sofa - 55" Samsung smart TV with apps (Netflix etc), a selection of international TV channels, such as BBC Nordic & news, Sky news, CNN, France 2, TV2 DK, ARD das Erste, RAI uno, Mezzo and Norwegian channels - A Marshall/Stanmore bluetooth loud speaker for streaming music, radio or podcasts - High-speed Wi-Fi (500 Mbps) In the kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking your daily meals: - Miele appliances - Wine fridge - Kenwood chef stand mixer & more mixing facilities - Various coffee making facilities: Nespresso capsule machine w milk skimmer, cafetières & Bialetti moka for induction - You will also find a waffle maker so you can try making traditional Norwegian heart-shaped waffles, along with an easy to follow Norwegian waffle recipe The layout of the house Ground floor: - Kitchen, dining area & living area, all with sea views - Bedroom with king size bed (180 cm) & cupboards - Full bathroom with tub/separate shower/toilet/combined washer-dryer for clothes - Separate toilet room - Storage room equipped with iron, ironing board & drying rack for laundry Upstairs you will find: - Bedroom with king size bed (180 cm) and sloping ceiling - Bedroom with small double bed (140 cm) and sloping ceiling - Combination room with balcony, sea views and convertible sofa. The room can be used as a living area, dedicated working space or bedroom. The sofa converts to a small double bed (140 cm) - Tiny toilet & shower room with sloping ceiling - Safety fold-out escape ladders in all 3 bedrooms (- One additional room will be used as storage for the owners private things and will be kept locked) Guest access The entire property, including the private shoreline, is exclusively available for the guests during the stay Other things to note A car is necessary, as there is no public transportation to the house. If you have an EV, please bring your own Type 2 charging cable. Free charging. For safety reasons, we do not recommend this property for families with small children. The house features an unsecured staircase with open treads, and the surrounding terrain is partly steep and rugged. Additionally, there is a large dock by the water without fencing or safety barriers. By dry weather, a local helper may stop by to water the garden. A motorboat will be moored at the pier. This is not for rent.
