Description
No. 3 Coastguard Cottage Sleeps 2 adults in a Double Bed with the option of a single and additional pull out bed in an adjoining room for additional guests/children on request. It is a mid terrace, stunning character cottage in the village of Saltfleet, overlooking Haven Bank which leads out to Sea. The cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard with an open fire, lawned garden to the front and closed courtyard to the back. Ideal for a romantic break with your dogs. The space The Coastguard Cottages are full of charm and character, lovingly converted to offer comfort and relaxation by the Lincolnshire Coast. Perfect for a couples get away (with your pooch.) Cross over the road and you walk directly onto the beach path taking you out to sea. It’s a lovely walk, alongside where the boats are moored and generally takes 15-20 minutes to reach the beach. The tide is often far out in Saltfleet but it’s a lovely walk out to sea, and although it may take some time, it’s totally worth it (just be sure to check tide time tables.) Walk in the other direction and you will reach the Nature Reserve within a mile. The back courtyard garden is fully secured so you can rest assured that your dogs will be safe, or spend the evening outside enjoying a meal and watching the geese fly overhead. The cottage is one of four terraced houses so neighbours are close by, but they’re a friendly bunch so this shouldn’t impact on your stay. There is a pub in the village which is open fully from March to October with reduced hours during winter months and a petrol station that is well stocked for any last minute necessities. During the summer months, there is also a chip shop in the village. This cosy cottage has a kitchen with all amenities you'll need, a pantry, large lounge with spacious sofas and a TV, porch (a perfect place to store your muddy boots), a bathroom with bath and shower (above the bath), a bedroom with doubled bed and an additional room off the bedroom which (upon request) can be utilised as an additional bedroom. The cottage has relatively steep and narrow stairs so please bear this in mind before booking if this may be an issue for you. We’ve also received feedback that the bath can be a struggle to get into as it’s a slipper bath with a shower over, so please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. As the cottage has limited space, we would recommend two small or one large well behaved dog. If you're unsure, drop us a message and we 'll happily discuss. Parking is available at the cottage on the road leading out to sea, directly opposite the cottage. A birdseye view of this can been seen in the photos with both the cottage and parking marked with a red square.
