A new fully fitted, stylish kitchen and open plan living area, look out on to our 2 acre Mediterranean garden and the accommodations own private garden area. 2 bedrooms, which retain some of the old features of the wine cave have been restored with large windows looking out to the canal and the lock, which gives the apartment it’s name ‘lock view.’ A separate, newly renovated bathroom is off the main living area, which offers our guests style and comfort. Step outside and you’ll find yourself in one of the most sought-after locations in southern France. The Canal du Midi is just moments away, ideal for scenic cycling, walking, picnics and boat watching. Bikes can roll straight from the door onto flat, shaded towpaths that stretch for miles through vineyards and charming villages. Perfectly positioned for unforgettable day trips, you’re within easy reach of the golden beaches of the Mediterranean and the medieval citadel of Carcassonne, both just a short drive away. Whether you’re dreaming of seaside relaxation, historic adventures, local markets or wine tasting, everything is close at hand. Guests also enjoy access to our stunning shared 10m x 5m swimming pool, shared with just two other small, quiet gîtes – plenty of space to relax, cool off and unwind in the sunshine. Shared access (with two other small gites) to the wider 2 acre garden and play area and large swimming pool. Other things to note We offer a popular weekly pizza evening at the property, homemade wood fired pizzas made to order with local wine on offer. The village has a very friendly and popular bar with a restaurant. There is also a small shop with larger supermarkets only a few kilometres away by car. There is alo a doctors, hairdressers and post office in the village.
