Welcome to our charming Sørland house from 1830 – right in the middle of idyllic Brekkestø, a small village in Blindleia. The house is only 100 meters from the lake, the jetty and the summer open land trade, with bathing places and hiking opportunities right nearby. Enjoy your morning coffee undisturbed in the garden, or the sunset from your own vantage point. Possibility of boat and island trips. Perfect for quiet holidays all year round. At the same time, you have a short distance to Lillesand, Kristiansand and the Zoo – a perfect combination of nature, city life and family experiences. The space The house is newly renovated and will be completed in April 2026. From the living room window you can glimpse the sea and the road down to Brekkestø Landhandel, which sells groceries and petrol during the school holidays. At the store, you will also find a small kiosk known for its very generous ice cream 🍦 Adjacent to the store is a brewery with an exhibition of art by local artists, which is also open during school holidays. The area offers several nice swimming areas, Svaberg and good hiking opportunities right outside the door. Brekkekjærhaven culture café is a nice place to take a break, and nearby is also Brekkestø Hage, where you can buy organic vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. There are good fishing opportunities both from boat and land in the nearby area. For the children, crab fishing in Brekkestø harbor is popular, just a short walk away from the house. Feel free to bring a fishing rod - everything is set for great experiences with the sea. ⸻ The house The house is a charming detached house spread over the attic, main floor and basement. Loft floor: Hallway and 3 bedrooms with new double beds (1 x 160 cm and 2 x 150 cm). 1st floor: Entrance, hallway, vestibule, bathroom with shower cabin, kitchen and two living rooms with good seating, TV and dining room with room for 6 people. Basement: Laundry room with washing machine and two storage rooms. The kitchen is small but well equipped (note: no dishwasher). The house is suitable for families, couples/friends and working people. ⸻ Outdoor area The property has a small but pleasant garden: • Garden area with table, chairs, and BBQ (for summer use) • Shaded area behind the house – perfect for morning coffee • Own vantage point on the plot with panoramic views of the entrance to Brekkestø, sun from morning to evening and great sunsets 🌅 More photos of the garden/outdoor area will be available during the spring once it has been prepared. ⸻ Parking Parking for up to 2 cars approx. 30 meters from the house. It is possible to drive up for unloading and loading. The house is perfectly located with a short distance to experiences: • Animal park: approx. 16 min • Kristiansand city center: approx. 23 min • Lillesand: approx. 9 min – a charming southern town with shops, bakeries and outdoor seating The Blindleialøpet is organized in Brekkestø every year. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire home during their stay. Other things to note It is possible to borrow high chairs, this has to be agreed upon in advance. It is possible to borrow a travel bed, this has to be agreed upon in advance. Bed linens and towels included in price. It is possible to rent a boat (FUN 14 feet with 40 hp), either per day or on a weekly basis. Hosting can also be helpful with transportation to islets and rocks for guests who are not familiar with boat. This has to be agreed upon in beforehand. Price on request. Note: The kitchen does not have a dishwasher This is a residence in a quiet neighborhood, and is best suited for guests who want a relaxing stay over partying.
