THE LOCATION One of the best things about staying at Octen Estate is the location. Mambo Beach and its surrounding area are just minutes away, giving you easy access to some of Curaçao's most popular restaurants, beach clubs, shops and nightlife. From here, you can also use the property as a convenient base for exploring the rest of the island, including Curaçao's beautiful west-coast beaches, Willemstad and other attractions. A rental car is recommended if you want to explore more of Curaçao. EASY SELF CHECK-IN No need to coordinate complicated arrival times. Octen Estate uses a smart lock, allowing you to check yourself in conveniently. You'll receive the check-in instructions before arrival so you can arrive and settle in with ease. IMPORTANT: ELECTRICITY Curaçao uses prepaid electricity, so we want to make the system completely transparent before you book. Your stay includes 15 kWh of electricity per night. Any electricity used above the included allowance is charged at €0.90 per additional kWh. To make this completely transparent, guests are asked to take a photo of the electricity meter when checking in and again when checking out. This allows you to monitor your consumption during your stay and keeps the final calculation clear for everyone. Air conditioning can significantly increase electricity consumption, so we recommend using AC responsibly and keeping doors and windows closed while it is running. There are no hidden electricity charges — you simply pay for the additional electricity you actually use beyond the included allowance. CLEAN & COMFORTABLE Our property is professionally cleaned between stays, and we take cleanliness seriously. If anything isn't right when you arrive, please contact us as soon as possible. We want you to have a fantastic stay, so please take a moment to read these simple house rules. ⚡ Electricity 15 kWh per night is included with your stay. Additional electricity consumption is charged at €0.90/kWh. Please take a photo of the electricity meter when you arrive and when you leave. This protects both you and us by providing a clear record of consumption. Please switch off air conditioning when leaving the property and keep doors and windows closed while AC is running. To save electricity, please switch off the shower water heater (switch located in the main bedroom) when hot water is not needed. The shower water is naturally lukewarm, so only use the heater if you require hot water. 🚭 Smoking Smoking is not permitted inside the property. 🎉 Parties & events Parties and events are not permitted unless agreed with us in advance. Please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a reasonable level, particularly at night. 🐶 Pets Pets are only permitted with prior approval. 🚪 Doors & windows Please keep doors and windows closed when air conditioning is running. This also helps prevent insects from entering the property. 🧹 During your stay Please treat our home with the same care you would your own.
