Take it easy at this beautiful, interior designed, unique and tranquil getaway. The cottages has been adapted to host wheelchair users , just ask if you need more information. The space The oak clad late 1920s building is warm and cosy. It’s easily accessible as it is on the ground floor with good size open plan sitting room , kitchen and dinning area , bedroom and a specious wet room style bathroom. Guest access The whole cottage with its private patio garden and the grounds of Kellaways House . Other things to note The cottage has been renovated and decorated with wheelchair users in mind: rumps to the doors, wide doors, lower switches, lower kitchen counters and wet room with toilet support handles and a shower chair. There is also an aid to help guests slide from the wheelchair and an aid to help guests Rosie from the bed. The cottage is equally welcoming to the non wheelchair users, with the bed rising help easily put away. The kitchen sink and cooker - which are lower than the standard work top are comfortable to be used by all guests. The cottage has been used by the prominent British artist Richard Smith , we are lucky to have one of his artwork on display , as well as markings on the studio floor which we have refined as a feature, and information for you to read about the artist himself and the history of the main house dating back ton1780s. The cottage has been furnished with beautiful designer curtains and art deco antiques, I wanted to make sure it’s functional as well as beautiful for all my guests.
