Peaceful wildlife retreat near RSPB Leighton Moss

Description

A peaceful wildlife retreat in the heart of the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape. Wake to birdsong, enjoy spectacular walks from the door, explore rare limestone pavement and discover the wonderful wildlife of nearby RSPB Leighton Moss before returning to your own cosy private annex. This hidden gem is on national cycling routes, has walks in every direction, has easy access to the southern Lake District, and is 20 minutes drive from Lancaster and Morecambe Bay with bus and rail links. The space This self catering annex is well equipped with a key box and access via the back door of the property into the Utility room. During your stay, you have exclusive use of the shower room and your double bedroom. The annex offers peace and seclusion with access to the garden shared with the owner. Supplied with a kettle, mini fridge and air fryer, this retreat is perfect for breakfasts, light meals and preparing picnic lunches before heading to RSPB Leighton Moss, the beauty of Silverdale and Arnside or the Lakes. There is a washing machine for your convenience and a drop leaf dining table, fully equipped with plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery to make your stay comfortable. Complimentary tea and coffee is included. There’s a fabulous pub within a mile which serves great food and real ale seven days a week. Your host is happy to recommend favourite walks, wildlife spots and local places to eat. Guest access Access is through the back door of the property. There is a key pad to access the property. There is shared use of the back garden if the host is at home along with the two friendly resident dogs. There is a step into the house and several steps in the garden. WiFi code is available once you have booked. Other things to note The host lives in the main house attached to the annex, although they will often be away whilst you visit. On the rare occasion the host is at home, they may occasionally need to access the utility area and back door to the garden, but will liaise with you beforehand if this is necessary. Your privacy is important, and the host will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. They are available by mobile or through the app if you have any questions, and are happy to share their extensive knowledge of the local area and its wildlife! Please take a moment to read the full description and check the facilities and amenities provided before booking, to make sure the accommodation is right for you. The annex is a simple, informal home-from-home rather than a fully equipped self-catering property, and unfortunately we may not be able to provide additional items that aren’t listed, particularly at short notice. For privacy and security, please contact the host by mobile or through the app rather than knocking on the main house door, unless there is an emergency. This is very much appreciated. As this is a home environment, please avoid very strong fragrances or perfumes, as these can linger in the accommodation. Thank you for understanding.
