The space Important information about the house: The property consists of two separate living units: - The main apartment (this ad) - A separate garden apartment These can be rented alone. If you rent the main apartment, the garden apartment can be rented to other guests. The living units are clearly separated and provide privacy for everyone. The main apartment constitutes the vast majority of a large family home, which is located right by the fjord, at the innermost part of Vestlandsfjord between high mountains. On the property is a secluded small sandy beach by steep cliffs. Lush, small orchard up towards the mountain. Undisturbed terrace on the second floor. Lawn in front of the house facing the lake The main apartment contains 4 bedrooms with 8 beds, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, stairwell. Sauna. Small rowing boat with outboard motor. Possibility of fishing and boating. Boat rental nearby. Good hiking opportunities along roads and trails to mountains and water and waterfalls. Parking: Walkway approx. 70 m. Grocery store: about 20 min drive. You will be staying in the red house located at the far end. There is no road for the last 70 meters. The road goes behind/above the boathouses located there. Parking by the light pole in the open space by the bus shelter, but avoid the actual turning space for the bus. For help transporting your luggage, you can find a wheelbarrow up behind the corner of the red house. On the ground floor: Behind the front door two new doors: The one on the right goes into the main part of the house, which you rent. The one on the left goes into the garden apartment, which can be rented to other guests. In the main apartment, there is first a spacious hallway with sofa and heat pump, wood stove in niche, wardrobe space. Inwards to the right on the ground floor, you will first find the wardrobe for outerwear. Next door is the spacious bedroom 3 with two single beds, possibly put together to form a double bed. At the far right of the hallway is bedroom 4 with two single beds. Straight ahead is a separate toilet room. At the far left is a bathroom with shower and with entrance to the sauna. . From the hall downstairs, a comfortable staircase leads up to the second floor. There is a desk/workplace, exit to the back of the house, entrances to the living room, kitchen and other rooms. In the living room there are two seating areas with sofas and armchairs, fireplace, and also exit to undisturbed terrace with great views. The kitchen has a dining area, dishwasher and entrance to a laundry room with washing machine and freezer. Down the hallway on the second floor you first come to bedroom 2, with two single beds. Wall to wall, but with entrance from the corridor, is the associated bathroom 2 with shower and toilet. The last door in the hallway leads into bedroom 1, with a double bed, exit to a small airy balcony with great views, entrance to the simple but spacious bathroom 1 with shower, bathtub and toilet. Outside: the farthest/western end of the house is a shed, and here you can store things you use outside, such as tools and the oars for the boat, some fishing equipment and some life jackets. But the latter should be brought by the guests. The rowboat is located just below the house. It is safe and tight, takes three or four people, but wobbles slightly from side to side, so be careful – also when you go down to the boat. Guest access On the first floor there is a private garden apartment consisting of living room, kitchen, bedroom with double bed, bathroom with bathtub and shower, washing machine and dryer. Other things to note At the far end of the house is a shed, there are tools, life jackets, oars for the boat and other things needed for a place like this. These items can be used, but of course must be put back after use. At Eidslandet there is no café that serves dinner, but over by the parking lot there is a small café where you can buy drinks and ice cream, among other things. In Mo in Modalen municipality, about 15 minutes drive away (up the valley, and through the Modal tunnel) is a Coop store, and also a café that serves dinner dishes. There is also a bowling alley and a swimming pool. 12 km out along the fjord, on the exciting road that was completed in 1939, is Stamneshella, where there is also a shop (Joker). 5 km out along the fjord is Hesjedalsfossen, an attraction.
